Up and running

Dear UK SIPA Committee,

I've sent most of you an e-mail inviting you to sign up to be a 'junior author' for the blog. This means you can post a message yourself and comment at any time.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be sending round some stuff to get us up and running, namely:

* Blogging guidelines: do's and don'ts (ie avoiding direct promotions)
* Purpose of the blog: building community and promoting membership to non-members
* Ideas and topics for posts
* Getting traffic to the blog
* Integrating the blog into our other channels and everything we do
* Encouraging people to comment
* Suggestions for frequency of posting by committee members

So, barring any last minute issues, I think we're in business.
